Resin Cheese Boards

These beautiful resin cheese boards are locally sourced and handmade by myself, Alina Murphy, I’m based in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada.

These boards are created in small batches and being handmade, every single board is distinctive in it’s own way.

These unique resin cheese boards make the perfect gifts. My customers typically the resin cheeseboards for popular occasions such as wedding gifts, birthday gifts, anniversaries, housewarming gifts. Who doesn't need a beautiful piece of the ocean in their home.

The coastal blues are my most popular colours however I do make custom colours as required - don't be afraid to get in touch.

When I craft the boards I work with a variety of different sizes, depending on demand. They can be tailor made to order. Some of the varieties of woods that I actively work with are Maple, Acacia, Walnut and Cherry. The majority of the wood is Canadian sourced. Keeping it local is an important value of mine.

The resin used on the boards is food safe once cured, so you don't need to worry about the food touching the resin on the wooden platters.

Caring for your new charcuterie board is quite simple.

Here are some instructions to get you started:

 PLEASE HAND WASH ONLY

Wood absorbs water naturally and can become waterlogged if you let it sit in water for an extended period of time. This can (in some cases) lead to the wood and resin cracking and warping.

The best way to clean your cheese board / serving board to ensure that it continues to look as good as new would be to wipe it down with a damp cloth and wash it under warm water with a non abrasive sponge. Please ensure that you always dry the board with a dry cloth immediately after washing. This will help to increase its longevity.

The cheese boards have all been treated with butcher block oil. Butcher block oil, which is also commonly known as cutting board oil, is a food contact safe oil typically used to seal and protect wooden food preparation items such as butcher block countertops and wooden cutting boards,  equally it protects the wood, increasing its lifespan. I would recommend that you reapply some butcher block oil every 6 months.

Resin cheese boards can really make a bold statement in your kitchen, they are perfect as they are by themselves, but, to really create a beautiful theme in your household they match up very well with resin coasters, bottle openers, magnets or a beautiful resin painting
